Headed out the jetties on the West side of Alabama Point, on the beachside to avoid most of the current(high tide was around 5PM and we didn't get in the water until a bit after 8PM). Visibility was 15-20' atleast and there wasn't too much particle in the water. The current on the outside of the jetties was light until you got near the point which was enough to let you know its time to turn around. I dove with Mikey Paul, but the boat was packed. Randy Sharkey and Bill Lewis were out there, nice suprise, I hadn't seen them since last year. Chas and Bosco were there from UWW as well. There were a couple other guys there that I hadn't dove with too.

We were out there for Flounder and between Mikey and me, we brought 7 Flounder home. I think the whole boat probably totalled in 30-40 fish, including a Speckled Trout shot by Mark(freediving!). We also saw Cowfish, Mullet, several types of Grunts, Spadefish, a ton of Southern Rays, Blue Crabs, even a Horseshoe Crab(my first!). All in all, it was a great night.

I didn't take any pics, but someone else had a camera. I'm going to try to get ahold of some of the pics, then I'll post.

I'm just getting caught up on your dives - so where are the pics?

Carrying a camera and a polespear or speargun becomes quite cumbersome. I meant to bring the camera along for surface pics but forgot it this time around.

Looking forward to diving Destin's jetties this weekend though, no spears, just camera :)

My fridge is stocked with fish now, I'll be laying off the spearing until I start running low again :D

Good thing no spear involved - there are too many Homo sapien fish with tube sticking out of their mouths. I hope the viz clears up for you guys.
