My wife has been looking at regs and came across the Mikron. It looks like a good reg and the posts I've read seem to be positive. I'm wondering though if she could use it with Nitrox as we are thinking about taking that class this year.

As I recall from my Nitrox course, there is no special requirements for regulators using EAN40 or less. In other words, for recreational diving, nothing needs to be done.

Or you could download the AquaLung Regulator Owner's Manual http://www.aqualung.com/us/technical_library/AQA_Reg_Owners_manual.pdf where section "1.2.1 Enriched Air Nitrox Use" states that all AL regs are prepared for use with EAN no exceeding 40%

Short answer, it will work fine.

Aqua Lung Regulator Range

If you were to scan down this page I linked to you would see that it is rated as compatible with nitrox to 40% out of the box.

She'll be glad to hear that, she was all excited about the smaller size and that it had pink on it. :D

Thanks,

All most every reg made now is nitrox compatible.

The Mikron is a nice reg.
