Hawk, I never considered the ferry. I imagine it's not fun getting from San Pedro Sula to the ferry though.
Thanks for the reminder about luggage and weight restrictions. Thank goodness Utila is one of those places you absolutely never have occasion to "dress up"!

The locals sure do, though! We enjoyed the festivities during Carnaval last summer, especially the coronation ceremony.
