We are contempalting a trip to either Bonaire, Grand Cayman or Roatan the end of July. What is the normal air temeprature/weather in Bonaire at this time?
Thanks

Bonaire in July is usually hot and dry. Occasional short rainstorms when we have been there.

Mid to high 80f's, air temp. Lower 80's, water temps, if my memory serves me. We love it there at that time of year, and will be there again this year.

Hot and dry. 25 mph breeze. Lovely in the shade or underwater.

Correct! Only time it ever felt hot, was the few times the wind quit blowing, which only made you aware how the ocean breezes are pretty constant.

Even quite comfortable at night. At night you may be plagued by mosquitoes, if they bother you, when you are dining at open air restaurants. I am, but most my friends are not so, DEET is my friend.

Take one pair of slacks/jeans to wear to dinner.

I usually bring a pair of long pants or jeans, but the weather is so nice, I never think to put them on when heading out to eat.

...and spray your ankles, even with those...

Amen.
Those who are not plagued by skeeter bites just have no idea how they can take the fun out of a nice evening get together, for someone that the bugs see as the all you can eat deli. Bonaire really does not have any where near as many of these pests as many other islands I have visited, but even a couple of bugs can make a night out less enjoyable for that person, if we are not prepared.

It's definitely hot in Bonaire in the summer but with the steady breezes it is tolerable. We often go in June or July and as long as you plan your day so as to stay in or near the water 10 am to 4 PM, it's very pleasant. Would not want to take a drive through the park in the summer. The other advantage of the ABCs that time of year is that you are south of the hurricane belt and less likely to get caught than in the north or central carribean.
