The problem with some MIFLEX HP hoses coming apart was true. I don't know how wide spread it was but they have redesigned and hopefully fixed the issue. I'd see if there was a manufacture date and buy one manufactured in the past two months. I have the LP hoses and love them.
 
@galvanni - Did you ever decide which model computer you're getting?

No - still weighing all the options. That and trying to get the BC done too. Took me a month to decide on a reg but the computer is proving much more difficult of a decision. I think I'm suffering paralysis from over-analysis right about now.
 
After watching one too many deck dorks grab my transmitter when schlepping my kit out of the water and then on the boat ride back lay my kit down with others on top I put my transmitter on a 9" HP hose. I even found a Suunto quick disconnect that I attach between the transmitter and hose. With the hose it tucks down under my reg and sits between the cylinder(s) and bp/wing. Makes for a nice streamlined kit. Never lost the signal while diving even while shooting my camera.
