I just don't log dives
Just acquired one and it is in need of help.
Confident I can handle, my question is what is the difference between the SCUBA vs SCBA parts.
Some parts interchange, per manuals, but for instance the diaphragm is different. Is that due the respective difference in the elements each model is exposed to? [i.e. scuba diaphragm is black material vs scba is gray].
Amron has the parts that I need and will likely order from them. If you know of another source, please let me know.

SCBA's are used at atmospheric pressure where the diving reg operates at several atmospheres. That said, I do know that an SCBA unit can be breathed in shallow water. SCBA's are required to be positive pressure, where diving regs aren't. I've never used one, but Interspiro does advertise a positive pressure AGA now. SCBA's have to withstand high temps, so I'd imagine there are some differences in materials. Our MSA and Scott SCBA masks are more robust than my OTS Guardian and the AGA that I trained with some last year. I've never seen an Interspiro SCBA, so I can't directly compare.
