To be honest, I think they just replaced it. There were a couple of things on the puter I didn't quite recognize. But they included a 1 year warranty so I figured what the heck....
 
I talked to the tech guy. He said something is going bad in it, either the sensor or the electronics the sensor plugs into. The $110 is for a rebuild.
 
The guy agreed to split the repair cost with me. He didn't realize the sensor was going as he had not looked at the NDLs since he last dove with it, and it seemed to be fine then.
