I just purchased two used Aeris 500 dive computers. Searching for battery kits for these, I see that battery kits for Aeris SAVANT computers seem to be identical. Can anyone confirm that Aeris SAVANT computers used the same battery and o-ring that the Aeris 500 uses ? Thanks !
And on a related note, all Aeris computers seem to be re-branded Oceanic units. What is the Oceanic name for the Aeris 500

I don't think Oceanic ever had a hosed AI computer exactly equivalent to the Aeris 500. The 500 was probably a contemporary of the Oceanic Pro Plus.

I found the manual online, https://www.malibuscubarepair.com/Aeris/500Ai.pdf it might help you. The Pro Plus appears to use the same battery and may have the same O-ring https://www.oceanicworldwide.com/us/media/wysiwyg/manuals/12-2141-r01.pdf I did not find battery replacement kits for either, batteries seem readily available. I can't comment on the Savant, I see the kit.

The Pro Plus 2 uses a different battery, but may use the same O-ring https://www.oceanicworldwide.com/eu...plus_2_operating_manual_eng_-_12-2328-r05.pdf. I have a couple of Pro Plus 2s, the battery replacement kits are readily available.

Good luck

Aklinz, Yes, the Aeris Savant and the Ai 500 both use the same battery: Tadiran TL-2150, 3.6V.

Can't say for sure on the o-ring, but my 10 year old Aeris price list included "pn:10.0142, 1/2 AA Tek Battery" which suggests that for that particular battery there was only one kit, thus the same o-ring.

However Aeris and Oceanic were not known for clarity of detail on those price lists, so take it for what it's worth.

Aklinz,

I can't guarantee they both use the same Oring. What I can tell you is that the Savant "O ring" is rectangular in shape, with a circular cross-section.
