i just got a xr1 dive computer
there is nothing in the manual about the plug slot on the side it looks like a spot for a pc hook up to usb?
and is there suppose to be some thing to cover the 3 wires or are they there for access ?
any info would be great:shakehead:

Dear chuckie, the Xr1 has the same external case and boot than Xr2. Thats why you can se an access to the wires. But there is no problem because the system it's the same in all Aeris computers. Just use clean water after each dive to clean the computer and be worry only for dive.

Best Regards and sorry for my english. :)

The contacts are dual purpose. When the computer is set to "wet" activation mode, it will turn on
when these contacts get wet (completing a circuit). After a good rinse and dry, the USB cable (get the right one if you're interested, there are several that appear identical but the chipsets in the cable module vary) can be used to download the dive data into an electronic log.

Cheers.
