Has anyone has got the new Aeris Atmox LX, they look a great BC but what Im interested in is the size of the pockets as they dont look that big on the pictures. So would they be able to hold a reel ?

I've got the Atmos XT, the previous generation of this bc. I love it. It is basically a back-inflate, so it's very comfortable and keeping a clean horizontal trim is a snap.

I can't tell you about the pockets though, because that's one area of major redesign from my version. I can fit a reel in mine. It would surprise me a bit if they made the pockets smaller.

I have the XT as well, and its a great BC, the back-inflate plus jacket style hybrid type inflate is really confortable...haven't seen too much about the LX, but Aeris/Oceanic make the best BCs

I just got my LX, but haven't had a chance to dive with it yet. The pockets run from the front to the back, but they are very narrow and I'd suspect you might loose some of the pocket space when weights are put in the sleeves.

You'd be fine putting a backup light and slate in there, but I think a spool would be too wide and possibly too tall to be able to zip the pouch shut. I'm still waiting on my spool to come in to try it out for sure, but my best guess is it wouldn't fit.
