I think the most interesting aspect of the Dragon is the optional Airtrim system! Bsically, the inflator control is on the left side of the BC, so no more corrugated hose flopping around! All your controls are always at the same place. I have a Mares Morphos pro BC with this system and absolutely love it. Won't go back to traditional inlfators unless I have to...:no

The dragon is great, but I picked up a Morphos (which is similar) for peanuts... There might still be some available on the market... great deal!:14:

Hope this helps!

I admit that the Mares inflator system is a really cool piece of tech, I haven't used it but I would like to.

As for the Atmos LX, I have the XT version, which is basically the same BC with the older wieght pockets. The new pockets are based on the more highly reviewed Oceanic wieght pockets. The air cell design is fantastic, it is a hybrid back inflate, that puts just enough air in the front when fully inflated to give you a heads up position on the surface. I haven't yet seen a review of the LX but the XT has highly reviewed in most all of the magazines with only one real flaw, its quite big and doesn't travel as well as many BC's. My expirience with it has been fantastic, it has about 3 years of use with about 200 dives and it looks pretty much new.

If you don't have someone helping you out with this I have the LX in stock and will give you a great deal on it. They are both good BC's though.

The real thing to do is try them both on side by side.. that way you know for sure. We have the Aeris, and the Mares BC's in stock, and since you're in the Dallas area - if you want to toss them on and compare - I'd say that's what to do. You may want to check out a few other options as well, toss on a Zeagle, a Riptide, etc...

Baag, if you're lucky enough to have a dive shop near you who has them both in stock, trying them on (as well as others) is definetly the best first step to take! Take advantage of this if you can. Not many of us have these opportunities...:coffee:

Cheers!
