I was in a local dive shop yesterday and saw the Aeris 5 Oceans BC. I tried it on and it felt really good. Its considered a crossover BC. I know its new to the market but has anyone had the chance to check it out?

Get a copy of the latest Scuba Diver magazine, they reviewed BC's and the Aries was in there.........

If I recall correctly, it was their top rated BC.......but I could be mistaken, I only skimmed the article........

Hope this helps............M

I read that. That's why Im asking. I was just wondering if anyone has had a chance to look at it.

I am a big believer in side-by-side comparisons of gear......

I have bought a bunch if their top-rated stuff based on what I read in the magazine......

Henderson Titanium Hyperstretch wetsuits
Genesis Athena BC for darling bride
Poseidon Xstreem reg
Suunto Computers
Aqualung Mythos masks

So far their comments have always been true and accurate.........

The Aries 5 Oceans is a new BC so it may take a while for the experience to build on SB.............

I'm going for my Advanced Open water dives next weekend and I'm very strongly considering buying a 5 Oceans. I've only read and heard good things, and I'm gonna make it my first BC.

I bought my 5 Oceans today, gonna try it out tomorrow and dive all weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

Jorgy, it is a great BC all around. light weight and compact, very comfortable and fit well with a 7mm wetsuit. the strap for the low pressure inflator is a little high on the shoulder strap, but I usually leave it loose anyway. On the surface you will notice that the back inflator pushes you forward a little, but just lean back a little more and your good.

All around though a solid choice, I would recommend a 5 Oceans for anyone interested. :)
