Advice Upgrading Camera - do I get housing/UW lenses for D780 or make the jump to mirrorless?

all good answers.... you will spend a lot more money on system and accessories than the value of the camera body. As such - my advice is to go mirrorless with the Z system (since you know Nikon) and then choose to 'focus' on either wide angle OR macro. Saves money and let's you test how much you want to 'dive' into this stuff. In other words - don't invest a lot of money in an old(er) camera.
