Triggerfish, eels, banded sea snakes, scorpionfish, lionfish, jellyfish - you'll find all of these at Phi Phi and all can hurt you, but in all the times I've dived there the only thing that injured me was myself :D

True, true. Now that I think about it everything can hurt you. I think I'm going to do something else with my time and money. Maybe skydiving.

Frankly there are many things that can hurt you but for the most part if you don't put your hand or some other appendage in their mouths, you are safe...

just came back from koh tao on our second to last dive we were diving green rock myself and two mates with our dive guide about 20 mins into the dive our dive guide who was only 5 mtrs in front started to get attacked by a 3 foot trigger he kicked it as it attacked him and as the vis was only about 8 mtrs we lost him. now we are 25 mtrs down on our own me with 2 novice divers 100 mtrs from the boat with this fish from hell between us and the boat.As i look into the murk I see it comming right at me showing me its teeth I see it just in time and flip onto my back and lash out with my fins. My two (so called) mates see this as an opportunity to escape so now i am still 25 mtrs down and on my own this fish was relentless in its attacks by now I was hyperventalating and have used up most of my air I am trying to swim on my back out of its way but it kept coming. I then made the decision to go to the surface (no safety stop) but it kept coming at me all the way to the surface and then on the surface evetually it went back down and left me alone the whole attack lasted 6-8 mins but seemed like 2-3 hours. I have dove with many sharks but I will always remember this as my most scarey dive ever respect trigger fish

Ive been attacked by triggers only while snorkeling , not diving only clows ,and damsals <sp have attacked me. Oh ya i had one loin fish come after me , good thing there slow.
