Forgive my ignorance of water temperatures but I'm guessing that your new home will get you into some colder water, especially at depth. This means more neoprene and that's where steel shines.

Thanks to all of you who answered so fast! The water temp in our home lake (Lake Norfork, Arkansas) gets pretty cool in the winter and spring so I imagine we will have to move up to the 7mm suits then. We have been diving in 5/3mm for the past 2 years with hoods in 70 degree water (it does not vary much here) and we don't get cold after an hour dive, but can see that changing. I knew there would be changes to consider, and these posts will help alot! Looks like steel it is..
