I'm a Fish!
Hello,
I am looking for some advice on diving in La Paz Mexico. I am not really concerned about the diving, I know they have awesome marine life, but I am looking for the overall safety of my group while there. There are so many conflicting reports that it is hard to sort them all out. Any experience, recommendations or information anyone could share would be appreciated. I am also interested in where you stayed while there.

Thanks Again for any information. Happy Holidays.

Hi,
We got an RCI exchange at Los Gaviotas one block off the malecon in La Paz. Plenty of restaurants within strolling distance. Great workers at the condo. Did our diving with Club Cantamar about 10 miles up the coast. Big boats, twin Cummins inboards. 3 tanks/day, lunch, head, water, shade. We found La Paz to be a very peaceful and enjoyable town. Much more to our liking than Cabo or Cozumel. Felt safe everywhere. My girlfriend broke her foot and we also found the hospital and doctors to be very accommodating and super friendly.

I also went out with the guys from Club Cantamar to Los Islotes, sealions colony.
Ut was a spectacular boat trip along Espiritu Santo. Don't think of it as the dive transfer, but as an amazing day on a boat, with some under water action!
We then went snorkeling with whale sharks in la Paz, which was totally magical.
Loved it, one of my best days ever!!

Thanks everyone for the information and advice! Happy Holidays
