I"m sure both wings are just fine, but there is a difference I'd like to point out that may or may not make a difference to you.

I have the Evolve 40 which I love. I've also got on order an Oxychez Vertex 55 to use with my double 120s. The 120s are a bit too heavy for the 40 lb wing.

Since both wings are donut style wings, I assume they will both dump equally well from the rear dump valve which is important for dumping and staying in trim while ascending.

The two wings have different shapes. The Evolve is more symmetrical compared to the Vertex whick is bigger or wider at the bottom. This makes a difference in your static trim. The Evolve will have a more head up bias whereas the Vertex will have a slightly more feet up bias. So depending on how your trim out statically, one wing will be an advantage over the other depending on your needs.

Here in Northern California with drysuits, heavy undergarmets most of us tend to battle head down syndrome, so having the Evolve is an advantage.

Now, with my Worthington steel HP 120s that are super long, they tend to keep me feet down, so I'm hoping the Vertex will help out in that respect on my trim.

This weekend a friend borrow me his evolve40 and a horse shoe oms 50 so I can try it before make any decision, the first I tried was the evolve 40 using a double 3 mm wetsuit, my canister, and I can't believe my self, after 15 min I felt very comfortable, I won't say my trim was perfect but very aceptable, and the most is I never felt restringed with my movements, all the time I was relax, etc... after 30 dives with the eclipse I felt it is almost the same, next dive I used the oms 60 lift horse shoe, and dammm!!!!!! I lost every control on my buoyancy, never felt like this, no control, I suffer trying to dump air, every time I was fighting with my balance, no have to say I always lost my trim.... totally mess, quit after 20 min.

After all the oms show me the big difference bettewn single and doubles tanks, from one part I think that if I learn to use a horse shoe first then I will be able to manage any wing, but maybe if I go easier with the donut style first it won't take much time to understand what were wrong with the horse shoe style (besides I'm sure the size 60 counts a lot on it)....

I'm almost ready to buy the donut style

What regulator are you planning to use with the doubles? The reason I ask is because I personally felt that the hose routing of the regulator are linked to the choice of wing as well. For example, I am using SP MK25 and I think that the hose routing are neater on Explorer than Evolve. Apeks FST first stages are probably the best for Evolve.

Anyway, just an additional perception I tend to look into as well. Not sure if anyone out there see it as well................................

I used this time apeks tx50 never noticed any difference in both wings but I didn't really check that... so next time I will

thanks
