thanks to everyone for comments, were very usefull, and yes I had been using the eclipse donut style single wing, so I'll get the evolve,

about other brands,, ggeeeee I would love to have choices but here in Cancun, we don't have them, I mean the only retail store with show room, round year service is the Halcyon, others like oms, dive rite, you can get them but is like you have to order them and wait for 2 or 3 months, I don't want to know what it would be with a warranty or a repairment service,

If there's someone who had any experience on that way in the region tell me maybe I'm wrong

thanks David

Oh, you're in Cancun -- You're really lucky. You'll do your DIR-F with amazing people. I'm still in awe of watching Danny Riordan in the water . . .

Nice To Know That, I Really Can't Wait For, But Yes It's Terrible The Cave Or Tec Equipment Matter Here, Looks Like Your Only Real Choice Is To Go With Overpriced Halcyon Brand

We have scubaboarders going to the Yucatan weekly. Contact one and ask if they would bring you a Oxy Vertex 42. You can order one from Jakub at GG for an amazing $290!

This wing is arguably the best wing made today (not including the bulletproof Oxy Extreme) and is ideally suited for caving in Mex. Plus... the GG price is the lowest price anywhere for a donut style doubles wing. Order one from Jakub and have him delivered it to your scubaboard buddy.

Better yet, contact Danny and find out who is coming down for your DIRF and ask them if they would do you this favor! DIR folks like to help their teammates... its in their code!

I own an Evolve and Explorer wing. Get the Evolve wing, and I am assuming that you are taking your DIR-F with Zero Gravity, then you are better off doing business with them. There is a lof to be said about having a face to face relationship with the people you buy your equipment with. Your customer satisfaction is unequaled when the *&^% hit the fan. Ebay, Internet, mail order may have better prices, but they will never be able to help you in Mexico on the day you find out you wing, or ifnlator does not work. The local LDS will be abel to help you.

There is some merit in what you've said. Too bad ZG only sells H gear.

Fortunately, most of this equipment is pretty dependable stuff. It is highly unlikely that you would ever need a repair and in the very unlikely event that you do need service nine times out of ten it will be something that you can do yourself or have done locally at any decent shop.

H. Evolve $435 vs Oxy Vertex $290. And in this case, the least costly is also the better wing! IMHO, of course!

Wow... same price for the 55# wing, too. Now I'm seriously tempted... and I thought I was just about done buying gear for a while! LOL What on earth was I thinking?

To the OP: I would recommend ordering one these Oxy wings online. Even with S&H charges, it should be a lot cheaper than the H wing, and you should be able to get it in a reasonable amount of time.

Yeah... I think Jakub has gone nuts!
