I am thinking about returning to the Bay Islands.
On my previous two trips, I went in August so the weather was very good.
Due to schedule constraints, I have to go the 1st week of November next year.

I am thinking about the Utila Aggressor, CCV, ILR, or Deep Blue Resort on Utila.
I am concerned about the rain affected the diving.
I am also concerned about the weather shutting down the diving on the north side
of Roatan or Utila during this time of year.

Can I get some feedback on this?

If this year is any indication, I would pick a different time of year or go some where else. I was on Roatan during Wilma. We had 4 rough days and did not dive on 2 1/2 days. The vis was really bad and I understand they were not much better the next week. Being on a liveaboard would have been really bad.

I think the answer is pretty obvious. You have either been reading here or know more than you let on. The North side or any exposure to the "Northers" makes diving on that side pretty much so a no-go.

Yes, pick a different time of year.

I think you just had some bad luck with August. It is usually pretty nice (or just the last of pretty nice) during that month.

Count on rain in the Bay Islands September thru December with some + and -.

The best of the best? March & April.

You will only see what is out and moving about at that time of year, however. There are incremental changes in the critters with each passing Moon throughout the year.

Spending the money on a liveaboard? It would be well advised to consider that against the price of one of the better two land based AI's. Until the Utila Aggressor proves itself and lays out a probable itinerary, I'd say the math is in favor of AI's.

Thanks for the advice
I had good weather in August, sorry for the misunderstanding.

I knew some stuff about the weather, but I just wanted to confirm it.
I think I will go in March

the rain doesnt really effect the diving in utila as long as you dont mind getting wet, its the winds you have to watch for certain winds will prevent boats from getting to the northside. i have been recently diving in utila and it has been great with only the occasional day where we were unable to get to the northside, and from what i hear rainy season is mainly in january. from what i hear deep blue resort is very nice, i was diving with deep blue divers which was friendly and great and from what i hear the resort is even better with their own larger and more comfortable boat (the shop boat was great so i could imagine the resort boat is amazing). good luck
