I got chilled in a 3mm suit last May. A hood might have made the difference otherwise I would have preferred a 5mm suit.
I dove with Mike Severns and they were great. We stayed at the Maui Hill condominiums which are very roomy and right across the street from the Kihei boat ramp where Mike Severns, Ed Robinson and B&B all launch from. The days I dove I walked to the boat ramp so my non-diving family would have the car.
