Quick question, my buddy and I are getting ready to start the next phase of our dive training. We are going to get into Tech diving, we will be doing Advance Nitrox, Deco, and Extended Range classes. What does the class room curriculum part of Advance nitrox consist of? A lot of math?

You can expect the same type of maths and calculations for Advanced EAN as for normal nitrox, nothing more than what you are already used too. Normal nitrox generally are lecture only type classes, no diving. Advanced EAN is a skills extension of the normal nitrox Class, with additional dives and water skills (lift bags, stage bottles, valve shutdowns and equipment removal). Great course if you have a skilled instructor.

A little simple algebra maybe, not really a lot of math.

What Ron said. Outside of those writing their own decompression software, there isn't much math in diving. A-Nx just more of the same math you've already done, plus the addition of OTUs.

I would acquire IANTD's Tec-Lite manual regardless of agency choosen. Much superior to TDI's IMO...

Ok thanks... I dive with Chris and Silent World a lot., they are really good people.
