It has been a while since I have posted but I bumped into that crazy rabbit a month or so ago and I promised I would post this info:

The Southwind is being chartered by Divers Cove out of Twinsburg. There are additional dives scheduled through September. The August 23,24 dates offer the possibility of an "Advanced mini GTG."

I have a few seats left in my truck on some upcoming Lake Erie Trips with Osprey out of Dunkirk, NY. We have been sucessfully car pooling to the dock to help everyone save a bit of money on fuel. I provide truck and trailer everybody chips in and saves.

August 7, Recreational dives
The Washington Irving and Unknown C.

These dives are both in the 120' range. You can dive a recreational profile, or a mild deco profile if you are trained appropriately.

August 12, Technical Dive
On the Saint James.

The plan is to meet somewhere in the greater Cleveland Area, load up the enclosed trailer with gear, and the Expedition with 6 people to make the trip over to Dunkirk. The drive is about 2 hours from Twinsburg.

Air (including Trimix) is available at the shop and at the dock (incase our dive plan is forced to change.)

The group that will be diving is a great group of safe divers, and we keep numbers low on the boat so there is plenty of room.

You can book through Divers Cove and let me know if you are interested in a ride.

It's about time you surfaced...you don't call, you don't write :joke:

Ok so it took me a week to find this :D
Ber :lilbunny:

And it took me another week to get back to the thread. Where does summer go???? Are you up for some diving?

I'm taking Intro to Tech at Gilboa Aug 16-17 believe it or not :D Poor Duane (ppo2 diver) doesn't seem to realize what he's getting into with trying to train me :dork2: Might be worth stopping by to watch the fun, we're doing the dives on Sunday...bring a camera, apparently there will be a lift bag and reel involved...bring extra shears too :rofl3:
Ber :lilbunny:

Ahhhhh the fun of shooting lift bags. A "reel" lesson in action-reaction.

Good for you for making the move to tech training. You must have gotten a raise with the new price of first class postage. Just kidding, we all know that tech diving is very inexpensive and affordable. Wait, the phone is ringing, the caller id says its citi bank......I've got to go!

Let me know if you want to get in on those august 23-24 trips a great place to run a mild deco schedule even though they are recreational dives.

I'm going to be on my way to Bermuda that weekend :)
Ber :lilbunny:

what could there possibly be to do in bermuda? That place is stuck in the middle of the ocean!

Yes in an area where ships tend to go missing :eyebrow: That's just too bad isn't it :D

It's our first cruise and there is only one destination. Since we get two nights and an entire day there we will be doing two day dives and a night dive. Renting everything but personal gear since it's only one day of diving...this should be fun ;)
Ber :lilbunny:

That sounds great and different from typical cruises. make sure you fill usin on the details upon your ships supposed return.
