Taking the advanced class soon and night diving is on the list.
What is a good reasonabley priced primary light? What watts should I be looking for. What size batteries (C's-D's)
What about style trigger? lantern.?
Thanks

Rent someting from your LDS for the first time. That will give you a baseline to determine your needs. Chances are this advanced class will not be under the same conditions that you will be doing most of your diving anyway. For a small light I like the Pelican Super Saberlite. 3 C cells, build in clip, turns on with a twisting motion. Cave divers like these.
