Hi to everyone! My name is Chris Morgan and I'm the President of the Mid Ohio Dive Club located in Columbus, Ohio.
On Saturday, September 5th and 6th, 2009, we will host our 4th Annual Adapative Diver Benefit & BBQ at Portage Quarry (located in Bowling Green, Ohio). Portage is a GREAT quarry with lots of attractions (including a Hansa Jet) and visiblity up to 50'.
This benefit has previously been known as the "HSA BBQ". While the HSA is an excellent organization proving extraordinary services, we're broadening our scope to include any and all handicapped divers regardless of their affiliation.
This year, we're working on unveiling a new Dive Entry Platform to make it much easier for Adaptive Divers to enter the water. The platform will be located on the Northwest corner of the quarry (near the Dive Shop for easier tank fills).
We're going to have lots of prizes and events (in and out of the water) for the entire family. You can also come to buy/trade/sell your used Scuba equipment at our Swap Meet.
The Grand Prize will be an authentic Ohio State Buckeye autographed helmet by the National Champion Buckeye Team including Jim Tressel!!!
I'd like to encourage everyone to attend. You can make new friends, help raise money for a very worthly cause and have a great time.
