Greetings all. I've also lurked in the shadows on this board for a while and have decided that ya'll won't bite. So here I am. Middle aged on the eastern shore of the mighty Mississippi. Started diving about 10 years ago with resort certification dives. Tired of having to swim 10 miles before breakfast to show the resort DMs who couldn't swim that far either that I wouldn't drown so the wife and I finally got certified last summer. Now we just flash the old c card. We do a lot of travelling in the in the Caribbean and that's where most all of our diving has taken place. Looking forward to doing some diving this summer at Bull Shoals and Table Rock lakes in southern Mo. Hope to do the South Pacific sometime in '05. :demented:

Welcome to the Board. You will have a good time here, lots of good info and good people. When you get to SW Missouri check out Beaver Lake in NW Arkansas good diving there also (as good as possible in this part of the contry).

Hey...a parrot head!!! I forgot to mention in my intro that I'm married to one.

Married to a diver and a parrothead - you are one lucky guy!!! :D

Welcome, Winston! Come in out of the dark, we don't bite....hard. :D

Welcome Winston,

How is the diving in Table Rock Lake? Had relatives in Kimberling City, MO - we used to water ski there all the time, haven't been there since I became a diver.

And welcome to SB. :wavey: Put us in your Favorites and check in often.

We've got lots of cool forums, and more being announced. PM me if you need help getting around, the tools, etc - I've got most of it figured out.

Kat,
I have no first hand knowledge on the diving in TRL. I talked to a couple of divers I met there last summer and they have been diving there for 20 years. I've fished there for 20 plus years and know where most of the gin clear water can be found. I hope to have a few weekends there this summer. There's a new dive shop opened at Indian Point Marina that is just down the way from where I always stay. I'll provide a report later this year. (I'll really be scouting for the best fish holding structure)

Where is Indian Point Marina? I have been to the Shop at the dam. Looking forward to your report. I saw a robin in the yard yesterday - I hope that means Spring!
