YAY! I just called about my dry suit and it's going to be shipped out Monday. That means I should get it Wednesday. Time to get the pool ready!

Eh.. I think the UPS might be closed for MLK day or something. So. maybe Thursday if they are closed on Monday.

So are you going to be there Clay? I remember you and another gentleman (I forget his name) were the only two (if I remember correctly *see last ()) with dry suits on. I should be diving dry!

Are you talking about me? I have been called alot of names never a gentleman.:11: . I have been looking forward to it. Right now it depends on my work load, I'm working 7 days a week to catch up. I hope to be able to take a day off and go diving. Not counting work, my last dive was in November. I'm so ready to hit that water. :D

WUSS!!!!! I thought this dive was all about showing your she/he man self and diving wet :shakehead:. You expect me to come and jump off in 50ish water with you dry suiters????

I will be there....whether I dive or not depends on whether the air temp is above 40..:D

I think so. If you were the one with the scooter. :) I looked at your BP/W setup and questioned you and ClayJar about dry suits. Guess what, I have both now. :)

I hope you can make it.

Why wait for Vortoberfest? Come to Springfest!!!

I think that's going to happen the week after my AOW, I won't be able to make it. I'll plan on going to the Vortober fest. :)

Ohh, I'll dive in a wet suit (or two actually) but, I will dive dry too. I'm just trying to figure out if I should dive dry first or wet. :)

Wuss at 40f or less? It was 45F last year and you wussed out after the first dive.

Nonetheless I did it and froze my :mooner: off doing it. ....So, I have nothing to prove this year...you all already know I am crazy. :D

Actually, that's not a difficult question at all. Dive dry first.

If you lose buoyancy control and head up not completely in control, you'll have less gas loading. If you start dry, your core temperature should still be warm for the later wet dives; that's less likely for the reverse. If you start wet, you're wet (or damp) both dives, but if you start dry, you'll only be wet the second dive (unless you have a flood, in which case, it's a wash). If you end up calling dives for thermal considerations, the wet dive is likely to be shorter, and therefore may as well come when you have reduced NDLs due to repetitive diving. If you (like many) have to wear more lead for the dry dives, you'll be doing more work while you're fresher.

And finally, you have to start dry to get a real comparison of what drysuit diving's supposed to feel like, so for purely academic reasons, dry first. :D

(I'm not sure who else from here may be there, but unless something happens, I'm officially scheduled now.)
