ABS vs PVC Buoyancy Tubes

I need to make some buoyancy tubes for my video rig. It 3lbs positive and I want it neutral.
I have some 2” ABS and the end caps and I also have some 1” PCV so I was thinking about using the 2” ABS.
I have not seen any use of ABS in other DIY setups. Is it too weak or is PVC just more convenient?

I have used ABS on some DIY can lights.
