Abbreviations

I have noticed that quite a few of the members use a lot of abbreviations.
Is there somewhere I can find out what they mean without having to interupt a thread asking?

Try this older thread, the second post has a link. I found it by searching for abbreviations.
For some reason it does not include the very common, Local Dive Store

Welcome Fastmarc! I work in IT and we do the same. Actually, I bet every group with a shared profession or interest ends up doing the same thing because, at heard, we're all lazy! Actually, I think we're all impatient and using acronyms and abbreviations allows us to get our point across faster.

if that were true, the Mormons would be getting alot of exposure here wouldn't they?
