I was wondering how the slevesless shortys work on there own, not as a base layer. I know they are usaully used as a base layer, but I would like to use one on its own. I'm going to be diving in the keys in a month or so and water temp should be around 78 degrees. I went diving about a month ago in the Keys and whore a long 3mil when it was about 70 degress and I was HOT. Thanks for the input

Example of Sleveless shorty here

Well, I have one with sleeves, but they only go over my shoulder like a T-shirt.

The times I've been in FL and Mexico with it, I was just fine. I don't recall the exact water temp, but it was probably in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Unless you get cold easily, a shorty is fine in the winter in the Keys.
