Hi, I'm going to the Maldives 2 weeks in October. This is my 4th time in the Maldives. I've already been in Fuvamulah, Rasdhoo, Fulidhoo and Guraidhoo, and I have also dived in Shark Tank in Hulhumalé and Lankan Manta point. In this trip, one of the weeks I will go to Guraidhoo, I love Kandooma Thila and there are many good dives around Guraidhoo, and the people in the Dive Center are great. For the 2nd week, I'm looking at different options and maybe someone here can give me some advice. Let's say that I prefer sharks and channel crossing dives. I also don't want to fly somewhere, I prefer to go close to Malé with fastboat.

Among the options I have are:
1. Thoddoo. It's close to Rasdhoo (I was there in may), but seems to be close to many great divesites.
2. Feridhoo in the Ari Atoll.
3. Thinadhoo or Felidhoo, south of Fulidhoo. While diving in Fulidhoo last year, I heard from other divers that there were great dive sites in that area.

Does anyone know those destinations and can give some feedback? Since I have to change islands always going back to Malé, I might stop there one day and go diving again to Shark Tank and Lankan Manta point.

I prefer the local islands (no resorts). I will appreciate any feedback.

Hi, sorry can’t help with your enquiry, but wondered if cheekily you could help mine?
Already done Fuvahmulah (which was amazing). Going to Maldives in Nov with a friend and staying 7 nights, the last 4 in a resort.
Our plan was to do shark tank (friend now wants to experience tigers) and then head to another local island. Which ones of the ones you’ve mentioned (close to Male) do you recommend?
Thanks

I've done shark tank 4 times and I will go again this time. I always do a double dive (or 3 if possible) and in the 2nd they go to Lankan Manta Point and it is always epic.

I like a lot Guraidhoo. I've been there 3 times and I will go back in October. Guraidhoo is 30 minutes from Malé. Fulidhoo and Rasdhoo are around one hour, but also great places. I was in Fulidhoo in november last year and it was great. It is a much smaller island, so more relaxed. Rasdhoo in November will be crowded. If you only have 3 days, I will go for Guraidhoo. Kandooma Thila is also an amazing dive.
