Reason 227: Chinatown in Bangkok. Excelent street food.

And the Indian part of China Town at Pahurat (crossing Soi ATM and Chakraphet Rd amongst others), excellent and cheap Indian food.

Or for Middle Eastern food, Sukhumvit Soi 3, like Nasir Al Masri. As authentic as you can get.

Reason 228: The celebration of the arrival of the lunar new year on February 3rd in Phuket at Sanaam Chai field, opposite Phuket Provincial hall.

The even starts at 16.00 p.m and includes gravity-defying stunts of Chinese acrobats from Kuyang, China; a martial arts demonstration by Shaolin warriors and a “Lion Gives Birth” dance reportedly never before performed in Thailand.

Reason 229: Bangkok Film Festival - mid-February, the country's largest event of its kind, with many international filmmakers descending on the city to screen their films at the EGV Cinemas Siam Discovery Centre.

Reason 231: Thai university student uniforms are the sexiest in the world.

Reason 232: The "Muay Thai" (Thai Boxing) training camps in all major tourist destinations (eg: Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Phangan, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Tao etc.) that with some dedicated training and guidance can turn you from a novice into a professional Thai boxer.
