A little help?!?!?

I am on my way to Jamaica to do some dives.... I am wondering if I should just pack my 3 mm shorty or should I take my full 3 mm wet suit!!! Going to do at least 2 dives a day for 6 days.... Any help would be apreciated... I haven't been to Jamaica before!!!

Hey Reef Man,

Personally I do most of my diving in the Carribean, and I wear a 3mm full ..

It protects me against stings, coral burns or accidents like that.

I even wear gloves !!!!

This time of year, water temps are still high enough for most people to be quite comfortable in a 3mm shorty, or no wetsuit at all.

That said, there's no inherent disadvantage in wearing a 3mm full. If you've got the luggage space and don't mind wearing the thing, go for it. But you are *only* doing two dives per day, so chilling via multiple daily dives shouldn't be a factor.

Me, I wear a short-sleeve rashguard in those latitudes this time of year.

I'd go for the 3mm full or rash guard, you don't want to have any encounters with fire coral or jellyfish .

Ahh..... well Ocho Rios isn't exactly the best spot when it comes to diving here.
But since you're there i'd suggest diving the Catherines wreck which was a decommisioned minesweeper I believe.

If you get the chance and are mobile i'd recommend heading to Montego bay or Negril, the diving there is much much better .

Yes, that is what I have heard...I know we will be going on the boats to the other area's to dive....so hope we can get into some of these other dive spots.... I will let you know...Thanks for the info!!!!
