ive recently been watching "strange days on planet earth" on kcls http://www.pbs.org/strangedays/index_flash.html it takes about various problems that the enviroment is going through. the last episode talked about how a two degree increase in temp would destroy the marine ecosystem. they already tied the destruction of sea fans in the caribbean to dust storms in africa carrying a fungus. the dust storms became prevalent due to the drying of lake chad. the show does a good demonstration on how everything is tied together. its worth watching consdering its commerical free and is hosted by edward norton.

It is truly amazing how so much of our environment is tied to the rest of the world. Right now in New England we are experiencing the warmest winter on record because of a La Nina, or at least that is what we are being told.
