Hello! I have just started an OW course and one of the big reasons why I can't wait to get in the sea is because I really like fish. I was wondering if I could ask for some advice on what locations are best for fish spotting. European waters would be best for my bank balance but all advice would be greatly received :) I am completing my open water dives in Dubrovnik, Croatia so I am hoping there will be plenty of fish there.

Thank you!

Red Sea I believe, is easy access budget-wise from the UK.

The red sea is fine, live abroad or boat dives re usually better than shore diving, the Eastern Mediterranean can be a bit sparse, Cyprus, Greece etc. is nice diving but not the most fish.

But - if you are in the UK, go dive the Farne Islands - great for diving with seals, they ar every curious and come right up to the divers, the west coast of Scotland is good for sea life and the south coast is great as well. I see more fish and sea life on an average UK dive than on an average dive in Cyprus where I work and dive a couple of times each month. - Phil.
