A few photos from St John, USVI

Hi!

Just got back from a week at St John and even if this was not a dedicated dive trip, I did 2 dive days with 2 dives each. The sites were Mingo bay, Mingo passage, ledges of little St James and Cow and Calf (the last two near St Thomas).

This is the second time I take photos when I dive, so I am still a newbe to this.

Good stuff! Especially for a 2nd attempt! You can see how getting close makes a big difference eh? Now get closer! Love the Angel shot...

Thank you for your nice comments! I know it takes a lot of time and practice to learn how to take photos underwater. I'm glad the cameras are so good today.

Next step is like Eskasi say, to get closer. My favorite picture of these is also the Gray Angel, but I wish that the very top of the fin, was in the photo also.

Very nice photos. What camera did you shoot them with?

I have a Canon Powershot A720IS with underwater housing. I bought it in April, and so far I am really happy with it. Both above and under water.
