I use 22" on my singles and 24" on doubles, since the left post is a little further away. I find the 24" better for doubles for when I'm looking left and/or oral inflating the wing, but that's just me

I don't see a problem, according to a diver I recently met in the bahamas whose regular dive buddy uses a 15' hose for his primary reg, 9' is nothing. LOL
