I'll be visiting San Diego 9/17-9/22. I'm new to diving, got certified this summer and only had two dives in a rock quarry since certification. I'm looking to do one or more dives with a group while I'm in San Diego. It's needs to be guided with a divemaster actually diving with us. I'll also need to rent equipment. What would everyone suggest?

Hmmmm.... I would do a boat dive. I know the Dive Bliss will rent you gear and a divemaster. There will only be six divers on the boat. The Coronados are good for beginners too. Check them out at http://www.divebliss.com/

Or, you can check out one of the other charter companies at:

http://californiadiveboats.com/

Or, as another resource, you may want to call on San Diego's largest (I believe) dive shop at http://www.oceanenterprises.com/. They will definitely hook you up!

Good luck,

wetrat

Thanks for the info! I have a shore dive scheduled at La Jolla Cove for Sunday morning. I'm really excited! Thanks so much for helping!
