Being married to a Pinoy, I dive a LOT in the Philippines. If I had one week in the Cebu area, I'd probably leave off Oslob as it is a circus (although I was pleasantly surprised how organized the circus was). Malapascua is not to be missed; but getting there will take you the whole day. We always hire a private car; with lots of dive gear and being on the older side of life, it is well worth the additional expenditure for us. There is very nice diving in Malapascua that does not involve thresher sharks.

Being a regular of the Phillippines, if we have already dove Coron, Bohol, PG/Anilao, Dauin/Apo, Oslob, Moalboal, Malapascua/Kalanggaman, Boracay, Tubbataha and Siquijor what would you recommend? I've dove them all but the last two, as Tubbataha requires a liveaboard, and I plan on diving Siquijor when Dauin is in Octopus mating season. Centrals often recommends Mactan and Southern Leyte

Mactan is good but need to find a equally good dive operator. As the best sites are quite a distance away.
Southern Leyte is a must.
