You'll probably have to add a weight belt to handle the extra weight but it can be done.

has to say about weight capacity of your pockets and lift on your BC. I have used the same BC with my 3 mil away and 7 mil at home suits. At home, I do dive with a steel tank, so that changes the equation on weights. When I have had to dive aluminum with my 7 mil, I have broken the weight up between the BC and a weight belt because it is less awkward for me to handle the weight that way.

You weren't talking about wearing both suits at the same time, were you? I don't see how that would fit.

It may change the answer to the question if you know if you are layering your suits or if you are just wanting to know if either suit will work with the same BC. Also, your own weight will factor in here. If you need a lot of weight to sink you anyway, you may HAVE to fill up the pockets and add a belt.

if you want to know the difference between a 3 and 7 mil suit, you will probably need to fill the pockets and add a belt to jump to the 7 mil

IF you are looking at wearing a 7 mil over a 3 mil, or vice versa, you might want to look into a jane/shorty combo, and you will definetly need a belt.

I would say if you have to wear a 3 mil on top of a 7 mil you might ought to look into a drysuit.
