7mm sealed dry hood, detachable. Anyone used it?

I currently dive a wet suit 7mm Henderson hood while diving dry. The alternative that I knew about was to permanently add a dry rubber hood to the suit itself. I was wondering if anyone has tried this and whether or not it seals well and covers the neck as well.

i dont have first hand knowledge of how well it works, but i will let ya know as soon as my new drysuit shows up. this is the hood that it wil come with.......

I've used the Bare drysuit hood since I started diving dry. I love it... I misplaced it though, and I'm currently trying to order another.

The warmest wet drysuit hood I have seen and own is made by http://otterbaysuits.com/wetsuits.cfm

They are custom made to you, so they fit perfect. The hoods are also 12mm thick, to keep your head toasty warm

Deep See (owned by AquaLung) makes one that look identical. It's carried locally (to me) at Sport Chalet shops. My buddy has one and likes it a lot.

I have and prefer the Henderson Gold Core drysuit hood. Very comfy. (I shave my head bald, so hair pulling really is not an issue for me.)

The Henderson Gold Core is also what I use. I like it, but dry is always better to me. I'll have to try some of the recommended hoods in this thread.
