I am looking to get my first wetsuit for local diving in cold water. I know the 2 options i listed arent really comparing apples to apples since the camaro is a semi-dry, but figured I would throw it out there to see if anyone has any opinions on them. I like the look of the Bare better and its almost $100 cheaper. but if any of you have personal experiences with either suit, I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I have the bare And I love it! I also have the bare Sport hooded vest. They are both very well made. I dive 38 degree waters with the combo and I am very comfortable

Hey Mark, thanks so much, thats exactly what I wanted to hear! So you have the full 7MM sport suit and they also make a hooded vest? Thats the exact setup I want to get. Im from SI, where do you normally dive in NJ?

Yes they make a bare sport hooded vest. It's a very nice. It looks like a shorty style wetsuit with a zipper in the front and and attached hood. I think they come in a 3, 5, and 7mm. I have a 7mm. And yes I have the bare sport 7mm wetsuit. I dive in the Manasquan inlet here in new jersey. I do mostly shore dives. I will be doing a bunch of boat dives once that starts up. You might want to look at the XS Scuba Dry Five gloves if your gonna be diving wet in the colder months. I have done 45 mins in 38 degree water with the setup and gloves with no issues. I was limited due to the tide.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I found the hooded vest, is your the step in one? If so did you have to get a slightly larger full wetsuit to accommodate for the step in hooded vest? Im hoping to log alot of dives this season!

Yes its the front zip step in. I am a medium wetsuit. I got a medium/ large hooded vest. They are cut a little bigger so eithr the same size or slightly larger should do.

Ohhhhh, I thought it went under. Thanks for clarifying! You have no idea how much your info helped me out! Im gonna get the jumpsuit and the step in vest. Seems perfect for our conditions. If you ever need a buddy or know of any local dive trips, let me know. Thanks again bud!

Everyone is gonna say get a drysuit and if I had the money I would get one. Idk what your money situation is but I don't have $1000 to drop. Plus I like diving wet!
