The 787 has just been cleared for commercial flights. Will you fly in it?

My preferred trans-Pacific gateway widebody jetliners to SE Asia/Oceania --Singapore Airlines A380 Superjumbo and hopefully soon United's 787 Dreamliner, both to Tokyo from Los Angeles. . .

I will absolutely fly the 787.

Sure, I'm a risk taking Scoober diver.

The real question: Who's going to get one for the first wreck dive?

I flew four times in the US and was scheduled to fly Tokyo to LAX but it was grounded and we got a 767 instead. It was the same crew and the captain came out and talked with the FC passengers while we were loading. He really enjoyed flying the 787 and couldn't wait for it to come back.

What I like is the quiet and humidity and the pressure. In the US flights, the front was their standard BusinessFirst which is not as nice as Global First that are on the international flights so I hope to see if they had reconfigured for the long hauls.

But... Economy seats are still economy and maybe even tighter than some. I've heard that it was designed for 8 seats across and United has them configured for 9 seats.

I will fly this bird every chance I get.

Have been flying with the 787 last in January, and will not hesitate to fly with it again. Which will most likely happen again in a few months, as I'm usually booked on the ANA Haneda-Frankfurt connection when I fly.

While I do like it quite a lot overall and think it's quieter than a 777 for example, it didn't feel as quiet and smooth as the A380 to me.

And I can't say I have noticed the difference in humidity or pressure, though I fly those long routes only a couple of times a year.
