Wait a second, 70ft vis in New England..... are you sure you didn't fake these pictures using a scaled down model of the dive site you constructed in your bathtub? :D

Dang scientist! You got me!

Now I've got to admit I staged this one in the toilet bowl.... :D

I will admit I removed a tiny bit of backscatter....I left the internal strobe on by mistake. Don't ya hate that?

Dave,

Your dive reports are the best!!

If I only had a drysuit... :shakehead:

I had around 40 - 50 foot vis on a dive at Flag Rock this summer. It was awesome! It was my first dive with a camera, too!

Thanks, amajamar! Want to be my agent? ;)

That's great that you had your camera for that excellent vis! My summer vis wasn't that good.

Get any good shots?

Where's Flag Rock? Google brings up several.

Check my gallery for the pics!

Flag rock is actually White Horse Beach in Plymouth.

Probably closer to you than Wetherill, but it's a pretty shallow dive!

Very nice shots! Looks like a fun dive, too.

What kind of camera?

Canon A620.

It's a really fun dive! Lots of big rocks to hunt around, fairly abundant sea life. When it's really calm the vis is really good, but when it's rough it's like chocolate milk!

I was having problems with taking pictures with the internal flash only, so I had just purchased a YS27-DX but I had to cancel on the last dive weekend so I haven't had a chance to try it out.

The day I met you (at Wetherill), you had your camera but I don't remember you having a strobe attached. What camera and strobe do you have?

I've got a 5-yr old Olympus 4040z, but no external strobe yet, so my macro shots tend to be mediocre because of poor lighting from the internal strobe.

Someday I'll get an external strobe (and a better camera).

Your shots were excellent!
