Thanks for the ID, interesting. I googled pictures last night and found all different kinds of fish that people say are Flying Gurnards and some pictures of a Dragonet showed up too....seems like there are many variation of the species

"Tortuga" ID'd the fish for me. It is a Longtail Dragonet and is not in the Hoover book.

I have seen those in Kona twice.
Had no Idea what they were and couldn't explain them to the LDS for an ID.
