My turn to ask a weighting question about wetsuits. There are plent of charts that will help you estimate weight requirements for a "6mil" wetsuit. I'm guessing that this is for a 6mil jumpsuit. If you have a 6mil Farmer John then you really have 12mil on your core. Any guidelines for how this affects boyancy?
Extra credit: Would a 7mil neoprene drysuit have more boyancy than a 7mil wetsuit? My guess is yes do to air trapping and extra material.
I'm going to check my boyancy in the pool tonight but I need to buy more weight and I was hoping for some good guesses about how much I'll need.
I know that it takes 27# to sink me a 7mil drysuit in fresh water and it takes 6# to sink me in a 3mil jumpsuit in fresh water. It better not take 47# to sink me in the 6mil farmer john!
