Does anyone know if it is possible to obtain a 60 day tourist visa for Indonesia while in Singapore (I hold a British Passport). The website states 2 working days are required.

Does anyone have any experience of this.

My other alternative is to do a visa run after 30 days (Bali-Sing-Bali) and just get visas on arrival. Air asia flights are cheep. To do this would i need to clear Singapore immigration or can i just fly from Bali , arrive in Sing then go straight to transfers and fly straight back to Indo?

(Unfortunately i will not be able to get a 60 day Visa in the Uk before i leave )

It should be OK. I know the KL and the Penang embassies do. I've been entering Indonesia at an airport that does not issue visa on arrival, so I've been getting my 60 day visa in advance from the embassies in KL and Penang. The embassy in KL is quick and efficient - you can get your visa back the same afternoon if you put your passport in nice and early in the morning (9am).

If you want your visa done in Singapore within one day, you can use an agent. I did it several times, no problems at all, cost around 170 Sing$. If you want me to send you his email/phone number, let me know..
(From what I heard, the embassy in Singapore is a bit more difficult than the one in KL)

Another option is that there are ways to get an extension in country through agents

Many thanks for replies.
I think i will apply for the 60 day visa in KL as i will be travelling from Banda Ache/Medan ,after diving PW.

I am in the US and was able to get a multiple entry visa good for one year with each stay valid for 6 days. The ability to get a multiple entry tourist visa is relatively new.

What does that mean

"each stay valid for 6 days" This doesn't seem to be of much benefit if you're on a dive trip. I would check into Document Service agents in Bali. They should be able to get visa extended, but I'm told only for 30 days (maybe at a time).

6 days is just silly - looks like a typo to me (should be 60?)

Let's see what Snappy says.......
