Anders,
That didn't take long!!! Already looking for the replacement suit I see. I guess the abuse about the CF in class got to you. Just thought I would say hi. Let go diving soon.

I am planning to purchase a new dry suit.

Does anyone have experience with the 5thD suits and the difference with these two models?

Is the 5thD-500 similar in thickness to the DUI TLS 350? Is the 750 too thick and decreases ROM compared to the 500?

Sincerely

Anders

i own a 5th D-750. flexibility is not an issue. However, the neoprene boots are not durable enough in my opinion and i am not the only one with that problem. I dive a lot and i am considering buying a second suit, this time i will probably buy the 5thD-1000. I need to re-enforce the boots though. I cant stand neoprene suits, and i refuse to ever buy another DUI suit.
go for the 5thD-750 or 5thD-1000 if you can afford it

Where are ya'll finding information on a fith dimension dry suit. I just left their web page and there is no mention of a dry suit.

I guess there are two 5th dimensions in scuba. The one linked with halcyon and the one that does dry suits.

Ok

sheck, i am curious to what about DUI suits you dislike so much. could you please elaborate.

Thank you.

my opinion is formed by the experiences i have had.
i have had nothing but problems with my CF200, sent it in, got it back and had leaks again. Had to replace the zipper after a mere 100 dives. and i do take care of my stuff. their turn around time was horrible and their prices high. needless to say i sold the suit.
But, then again, i know enough people that are totally happy with their DUI's, so, i guess i just didnt get lucky with it, no big deal.
