But, I use a 55 lb. wing (DiveRite Classic). That is more than adequate for my double 130's, LP 45 stage bottle filled with O2, my AL80 filled with EAN36 and the other sundries that I take down with me.
As to the regs, I agree with the other posters here on simply getting a mate to your current one and hiding the octopus in your reg bag. You want that second reg to be as nice as the other. After all, YOU will have to breathe it if your buddy has a problem with their own gas.
Lil' Irish Temper:I've actually started thinking about getting rid of my ATX 200 & ATX 40 and trading someone for 2 ATX 50's since you really can't tell the difference underwater from what I have heard. But I have heard the 200 1st stage routes better on doubles.
Kind of hit and miss for me, on what to do.
Stryker:well myself, I am not a fan of fabers... very big and heavy for the amount of gas they hold, BUT they do have good buoyancy characteristics, and for that price, I would say go for it.... I picked up a faber LP 120 and almost pulled my back out!! HAH
Thats why I love the PST tanks so much.. they are smaller and lighter than the faber 120s, plus they arent painted so you dont have to worry about them looking like crap after a few rough dives..![]()

Not to threadjack LITs thead, but why are 100's are completely a different story? Shouldn't they be similar nearly empty to E8-119s?HarryH97:Yes, 55lbs is plenty. You really only need 20-36 lbs (BG, stages, deco) of lift if you're rig is balanced. You'll find that with EMPTY BG and full cold water double's DIR rig (6 cf Argon, Helios 9), you'll have about 12-13 lbs on you in Sea Water. Most people need at least 14-16 lbs if you're wearing a drysuit. Although I don't use any additional weight in my 119 and 130 sets, most folks jam a few pounds between the tanks behind the wing or just use a V-weight. 100's are completely a different story.
