Lots of great info here, just hard to decide where to spend our 5 days in July or Aug. What's your best spot?

Don't spend them on the Andaman Sea (western) coast of Thailand, unless you enjoy diving during monsoon season in torrential rain and rough high seas. From your recent posts, it seems you don't know the basics of diving in SE Asia...best to get educated before you start putting money down on your trip.

More condescending statement from someone who does not know much about the Kingdom of Thailand.
Weather pattern in Thailand is NOT a secret.
With only 5 days to spare, I would put culture as the first priority and forget diving completely. The best place is Bangkok.

With only five days - just stay in Bangkok. July is really the worst time to dive in Thailand, it's the height of the monsoon season, rain and high winds everywhere.
