All I want to know is how much it would cost me, assuming I was alone and there are no other passengers.
Private transfer from Manila/airport to PG.
One way is about P5,000.00.
White taxi is slightly cheaper but you have to be careful to deal with taxi driver.
Speed boat is P10,000.00.

Take the Si-Kat.
Depend on your arrival time, over night in Manila + Si-Kat is not going to cost more than P5,000.00. The bus departs from City State Tower Hotel in Ermita and the place is fine with me. There are plenty options around the area.

I'd choose Puerto Galera over Anilao unless you want muck diving, although I enjoyed both locations.

Asia divers had faster boats and closer dive sites, which would be a big factor for me with only 5 days.

Typical day at Asia divers:
  • 8am dive
  • 1 hour to relax at the resort
  • 10:30am dive
  • 90 minutes to relax at the resort
  • 1:30pm dive
  • 1 hour to relax at the resort
  • 4:00pm dive
  • Decide I am too tired for the night dive and go to happy hour
Typical day at Blue Ribbon:
  • 9am 2 morning dives with the rest interval on the boat
  • 90 minutes to relax at the resort
  • 3pm 1 tank dive
  • dinner
  • night dive
So I spent a lot more time on the boat at Blue Ribbon. Is this a fair comparison? Different resorts are going to have different boats, but go to the same dive sites. So you could even things out a little with slower boats in Sabang or faster boats in Anilao, but the dive locations will be in the same place they were for me.

Most resorts in either place can arrange a private driver to get you there fast at substantial cost. Anilao is a little closer, but travel time should be the same.
Can you dive with Threshers at PG or Anilao?

I saw a huge thresher at PG and no other sharks the whole trip. I probably heard 'thresher' mentioned at least once every day in PG and never in Anilao. My guess is they are only in PG and not Anilao, but I don't know.

No one can answer that question except the dive resort you are staying at.
I mean the trip from airport to resort as answered by Centrals above..

@horn34 Malapascua is the spot for reliable Thresher Shark sighting, takes an extra flight and a 4 hours or more transfer so with limited time not a great use of that limited time. I wasn't impressed with alot of the other dive sites around Malapascua as many have dynamite fishing damadge. Anilao has some great muck diving with all kinds of small critters, it also has some nice reefs, PG also has great diving but you need to more transfer time to cross the channel.
